Kommissary grew from founder Edward Song’s Korean taco truck into a minority-owned New York City food company known for turning community needs into large-scale meal operations. Since opening its shared commissary in 2019, the company has built a 30,000-square-foot headquarters and a culturally diverse team of 370 New Yorkers, whose work has included emergency meals for people facing crisis.
