Founded

1991

Founded by Tommy Nadeau in 1991 after furniture-buying travels around the world, Nadeau Furniture imports handcrafted solid-wood furniture and sells it through retail stores at accessible prices. What began in a small garage grew from a wholesale business into a nationwide community of stores, while its collections remain handmade rather than mass-produced. Nadeau works with artisans and suppliers using sustainably sourced and reclaimed materials, giving each piece a distinctive, globally inspired character.

• Martin's Furniture USMartin’s Furniture grew from Harvey M. Martin’s small Pennsylvania wood shop in the early 1960s into a family-owned maker and retailer of handcrafted hardwood furniture, with custom pieces still produced on the Martin family homestead. Melvin M. Martin and his three sons continue to run the business, pairing local hands-on craftsmanship with modern equipment and sustainably sourced hardwoods. Every Martin-built piece is inspected and marked with the craftsman’s signature and date, while wood waste is reused for facility heat and local farm bedding.337122EPHRATA, PA
• Country Lane FurnitureFounded in 1989 as a one-room storefront in Annville, Pennsylvania, family-owned Country Lane Furniture now offers custom handcrafted solid-wood furniture made locally by Amish and Mennonite craftsmen. Its 61,000-square-foot showroom grew from those small beginnings while the business kept its focus on detailed construction, locally sourced hardwoods, and pieces designed to be passed down through generations. Country Lane also maintains records of customers’ furniture so matching pieces can be added years later.ANNVILLE, PA
