Founded by Franco and Flora Scalamandré in 1929, Scalamandré creates luxury textiles and interior furnishings, with a particular reputation for historically informed fabrics, wallcoverings and custom restoration work. Its signature Leaping Zebras design and commissions for places such as the White House reflect a company that carries an unusually deep American design archive into contemporary interiors. Scalamandré now also prints wallcoverings and produces custom pillows at its Calhoun, Georgia facility, bringing part of that work back in-house.
