Founded by Paul and Russell Solt in 1956, Solt's Sawmill is a wholesale Pennsylvania sawmill that turns privately harvested timber into lumber and manufactures specialty-sized pallets. The family business is now run by Paul’s granddaughter Prudence and her husband Jeremy, with about 20 full- and part-time employees. After a 2009 fire destroyed the pallet shop, the company rebuilt and continued its sawmill and pallet operations.
