Founded by Chester and Carma Brumbaugh in 1982, Brumbaugh Lumber is a family-owned Shirleysburg sawmill that harvests timber, manages woodlands, clears land, and turns locally sourced logs into lumber and related wood products. Sons Corey and Wesley took over in 2004, carrying a three-generation timber tradition into a business that ships most of its output across Pennsylvania and neighboring states, with some products exported to Canada. The company also uses the whole tree, including bark for mulch and sawdust for pellets.
