Founded by Emanuel Lincoln Frey in 1949, Frey Lumber Company turns Appalachian hardwoods from standing timber into lumber and wood products, with its own specialty sawmill and pallet operation. The family business expanded to include Frey Pallet Company in the 1990s and now employs about 30 workers, handling custom pallets, crates and support blocks alongside timber management and harvesting. Its woods crew has worked together for more than 30 years, and the company delivers throughout Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Maryland and Ohio.
