For four generations, Hickman Woods has grown, milled, and crafted Northern Appalachian hardwood into flooring and lumber from its family-managed forests in western Pennsylvania. The family’s roots reach back to Harry Hickman’s logging work in the 1930s, while Allegheny Mountain Hardwood Flooring, founded in 2000, became known for character-grade rift-and-quarter-sawn and live-sawn flooring. Hickman Woods also manages FSC-certified forests and maintains control of the process from timber selection through sawmilling, drying, and flooring production.
