Tim Wells Furniture is the Watkins Glen studio of English-trained craftsman Tim Wells, who has made one-of-a-kind furniture since establishing his practice in Brackley in 1980. After a five-year apprenticeship with John Makepeace and subsequent work with Wendell Castle, Wells developed a practice that joins traditional construction with contemporary design for private clients and galleries. His work also includes collaborations with prominent furniture and glass designers.

Vicco von Voss Furniture DesignSince 1994, German-born artist and craftsman Vicco von Voss has worked on Maryland’s Eastern Shore, turning locally salvaged and fallen trees into one-of-a-kind contemporary furniture. After studying fine art at Washington College and completing a three-year carpentry apprenticeship in Hamburg, von Voss developed a practice that pairs traditional joinery with designs shaped by each log’s natural curves. John Strauss Furniture DesignIn an Ohio workshop, sculptor-trained John Strauss and interior designer Carisa Marie create limited-edition furniture, lighting and sculptural objects for designers, architects and meaningful spaces. Strauss brings more than 30 years of furniture-making experience, while Marie adds two decades in interior design; together, they combine modern technology with traditional joinery and hand finishing.
