Established in 1994, Rocket Motorsports is the University of Toledo’s student Formula SAE team, known for returning to competition with a newly built Formula-style race car each year. Based in Toledo, the team gives University of Toledo students practical experience by carrying a car from classroom concepts into real competition.
RIT RacingFounded at Rochester Institute of Technology in 1991, RIT Racing is a student-built Formula SAE program known for passing engineering knowledge from one generation of members to the next. More than 60 active students now carry that tradition into electric-car competition, where the team earned its first FSAE Michigan championship in 2024 and followed with overall wins in Pittsburgh and Toronto in 2025.
Terps RacingSince 1982, Terps Racing has been a University of Maryland student-run program that designs, builds, tests and races formula-style and Baja off-road vehicles for collegiate competitions. More than 120 students work across its internal-combustion, electric and Baja teams, gaining hands-on experience in a dedicated machine shop and assembly space. University at Buffalo SAESince 1984, University at Buffalo SAE has been a student engineering club that designs, builds, tests, and races off-road vehicles through SAE competitions. Now competing as UB Motorsports in Baja SAE, the collegiate chapter draws 105 undergraduates from across engineering disciplines and has built more than 50 vehicles. Case Rocket TeamCleveland’s Case Rocket Team is Case Western Reserve University’s undergraduate aerospace design team, building and flying high-power rockets for nationwide competitions and aerospace events. Open to students from every major and skill level, the team has reached the Spaceport America Cup podium and set a team altitude record above 24,000 feet. Its work also gives members hands-on experience in composite manufacturing, propulsion, recovery systems, and National Association of Rocketry certification.CLEVELAND, OH
