Calvaresi Winery produced quality small-batch wines in Bernville, Pennsylvania, growing from Tom Calvaresi’s 1981 home winery in a Reading row house into a destination on the Berks County Wine Trail. After Shannon Birosik acquired the winery in 2014, it continued as a family business under the Soaked Wines brand, known for award-winning wines and a casual country setting. Hanover WineryWhat began as Eddie and Beth McDonald’s decade-long winemaking passion became Butler County’s first winery when Hanover Winery opened in 2009 on their rural Hanover Township farm. The couple turned a hobby shed into a tasting room and grew the property into a vineyard and wine-production operation known for more than two dozen award-winning wines, with wood-fired pizza added in 2023.
