Father Sam's Bakery is a family-founded commercial bakery that makes pita breads, tortillas, and wraps. It began in 1972 when Episcopal priest Abuid (Albert) Sam started baking his family's bread recipe for parishioners; the bakery began selling bread in 1977 and moved into its Buffalo facility in 1996. The company says it now operates facilities in Buffalo, New York, and Charlotte, North Carolina, and has transitioned to third-generation family involvement.
