Its 41,000-square-foot facility has annual capacity exceeding 10,000 kilometers of wire, and the company’s patented continuous tube forming and filling process helped move MgB₂ wire from research into commercial manufacturing. SuperPower IncSince its formation in 2000, SuperPower Inc. has developed and commercially manufactured second-generation high-temperature superconducting tape and REBCO wires in Glenville, New York. Its products carry current with essentially zero resistance under cryogenic conditions, supporting demanding work in high-field magnets, power systems, fusion research and other advanced applications.
