Founded in 2007, KOL Foods produces glatt-kosher meat and poultry raised with regenerative, pasture-based practices, including 100% grass-fed beef and organic-fed pastured poultry. The Silver Spring company began by bringing together a Washington, DC synagogue, a slaughterhouse and a local farmer to create what it describes as the first glatt-kosher, organically raised local grass-fed meat. Today it partners with small family farms and ranches, ships throughout the continental United States, and pairs its food standards with eco-conscious operations and fair practices.
