La Dorita is a family-founded food business established by Gastón and Josephine Oría, making small batches of Argentine-style dulce de leche from 2009. Inspired by Josephine’s grandmother Dorita and Argentine family traditions, the company sold its handcrafted dulce de leche along the East Coast before closing that product chapter during the COVID-19 period. The Orías also founded La Dorita Cooks, a Pittsburgh commercial kitchen incubator that supported more than 200 food entrepreneurs before its 2024 asset sale.
