Family roots and a revived sugaring operation define Sterling Valley Maple, a Lewis County producer of pure maple syrup from thousands of trees in the Adirondack foothills. Josh and Gena Stamp work with three generations of maple producers, continuing a tradition that began in 2010 and moved to its Croghan sugar shanty in 2016–17.
